description: How to delete your Colloquia account and journal data from the app, or by email if you can't sign in.

# Delete your account

You can delete your account and all of its journal data at any time from inside the app:

1. Open Colloquia and go to **Settings**.
2. Tap **Account**.
3. Tap **Delete Account** and confirm.

**Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription.** Billing is handled by Apple, so it has to be cancelled separately: on your iPhone, open **Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Colloquia → Cancel Subscription**. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep access until the end of the current billing period.

## What gets deleted

Deleting your account removes your journal entries, summaries, metadata, and the memory Colloquia keeps to ask better questions. This can't be undone — if you'd like to keep a copy, export your journal first from **Settings → Export**. Your conversation audio is never stored, so there's no recording to remove.

Deletion from our active systems is prompt. As described in our [Privacy Policy](/privacy), any residual copies in encrypted backups and routine logs age out on their normal cycle, and we keep only a minimal billing record where required for legal, tax, and accounting purposes.

## Prefer to delete just one entry?

You don't have to delete everything. In the app, open any entry and delete it on its own.

## Need help?

If you can't access the app, email [help@trycolloquia.com](mailto:help@trycolloquia.com) from the address associated with your account and we'll help you delete your data. For more on how your information is handled, see our [Privacy Policy](/privacy).
